As 2019 wraps up, it is time to look forward and start planning 2020 travel. The newest report from AirlineRatings.com offers some beginning guidance for travellers booking early travel.

AirlineRatings.com catalogues expert safety ratings for more than 435 airlines from around the world. It endeavors to be a one-stop shop for any airline question travellers can think of.

Each year, the website releases a study ranking the best airlines for the next year. The group takes a number of factors into consideration, like fleet age, passenger reviews, profitability and much more. The rankings are judged by seven editors with more than 200 years of combined experience working in the industry.

Air New Zealand is honored with the airline of the year distinction. The airline also took home the group’s Best Premium Economy award. Singapore Airlines won in the First Class category and Qatar Airways took Best Catering and Best Business Class awards.

The survey typically ranks the top 10 airlines in the world in a definitive ranking of the best. This year, the report includes the 20 best airlines. On this list, several Asia-Pacific-serving airlines make the grade, including Singapore Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Qantas, Emirates, EVA Air and Virgin Australia.

This is Air New Zealand’s third consecutive year taking home top honors.
