Recent studies have found some incidents of bed bugs in the business-class cabins of U.S. and international carriers. Bed bug expert Karn Manhas offered some tips to business travelers for dealing with these pesky, unwanted travelers.
- Check with the airline. Ask prior to booking about any recent bed bug outbreaks.
- Quickly inspect your seat. Check the cushions and surrounding areas, including seams and small crevices.
- Bring your own travel pillow. Avoid the risk of a potentially contaminated pillow and pack your own.
- Arm yourself with bed bug spray. Non-toxic products like PROOF allow you to spray the area effectively without potentially harming your belongings and the people around you.
Whether traveling in business class or staying in a luxury hotel, it’s important to take appropriate precautions when dealing with bed bugs.
