Marriott’s Autograph Collection Hotels welcomes the new Hotel Elephant Weimar after nine months of renovations. The property is located in the city’s historic market square and was a cultural hub for three centuries.

The boutique hotel provides just less than 100 guestrooms, all redesigned to reflect the property’s history. The design throughout takes inspiration from German 1920s elegance and Germany’s leading literary figure, Goethe.

Among the hotel’s amenities, an in-house cultural concierge is on hand to provide recommendations for guests seeking to visit the city’s 19 UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The property’s culinary highlight is Restaurant AnnA, which serves local, authentic cuisine. An idyllic garden terrace provides alfresco dining. Social spaces include a cultural hub with an art collection and calendar filled with concerts, readings and plays. In February, the hotel debuts a state-of-the-art sauna and fitness area.
