Airports can be overwhelming, confusing, busy and overall stressful — especially when you’re in an unfamiliar city and have a connection. You can’t possibly be expected to download every airport app or look up confusing, unhelpful guides. Apple Maps recently added airport terminal maps to its list of features to aid you in the struggle.

The app not only provides a map for the airport terminal to help you get from gate to gate or gate to baggage claim, but it also includes check-in locations, dining options, shopping outlets and more. Icons are also included for things like elevators and bathrooms.

Instead of using GPS technology, spotty in most airports, the app uses WiFi hotspots to determine a user’s location. Unlike most apps requiring location services, Apple Maps does not require the user to connect to WiFi for this feature to work — handy considering connecting to WiFi in the airport is always a struggle.

Currently it only features maps of 34 airports around the world including a select few in the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada and Germany, but it is working to expand its reach and improve its features.

Users can also report incorrect or missing information to help the app improve, and problems are typically fixed in a few days.
