South Korean wellness is all about the jjimjilbang — bathhouses that offer an array of treatments and activities. If you’re only staying in South Korea’s major cities for a short period of time, don’t worry. You can still have an authentic jjimjibang experience. Here are several spots to make it happen.

Paradise City Hotel and Resort

This vibrant Incheon hotel is located right next to Incheon International Airport, so it will fit into tight schedules. The jjimjibang experience here is super-modern. There’s a wave dream room, virtual spa, water plaza for swimming, aqua spa zone, sports bar and juice bar. The aqua spa zone is a bit more lively, but a separate, calmer jjimjil spa zone is open 24 hours.

Spa Land

With a name like Spa Land, you never know what to expect, but, fortunately, this Busan location is highly impressive. Spa Land is located in the Centum City Mall and it’s absolutely huge, with enough space for 1,500 visitors. There are 18 spa pools filled with two types of hot spring water and 12 sauna rooms. Beyond the treatment areas, you can find both entertainment and multiple dining options.

Dragonhill Spa

In Seoul, Dragonhill Spa is spread out over eight floors and, beyond the beautiful spas, saunas, rooftop gardens and fitness spaces, you can find restaurants and even a movie theater. Visit Dragonhill Spa during the week to beat the crowds and have some space to relax all to yourself.

High-Spirited Hong Kong: The Dynamic Hub Embraces Its Maritime History and Culture

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.

Why Japan Is Best Explored by Sea with Princess

Japan is a destination that rewards repeat visits because no two regions — or seasons —  feel quite the same. One moment, you’re wandering through centuries-old geisha districts in Kanazawa. The next, you’re watching neon reflections dance across Tokyo streets long after midnight.

Review: InterContinental Barcelona

When searching for a place to stay in Barcelona, I was picky. I wanted a well-situated hotel to access all the city has to offer and to serve as a respite from the hustle and bustle of the Spanish hot spot. My search led me to InterContinental Barcelona.
