Starwood Hotels & Resorts will expand its eco-friendly Element brand portfolio with the addition of its first hotel in The Netherlands. Slated to welcome guests in November 2015, Element Amsterdam will be located at Gelderlandplein in the vibrant Zuid area of Amsterdam just south of the city center. The hotel will offer 160 light-filled studios and one-bedroom suites featuring a fluid design of modular furniture, swiveling flat-screen televisions, large desks with open shelving and custom-designed closets as well as spa-inspired bathrooms with rain showers and fully-equipped, energy-efficient kitchens. Additional amenities will include a 24-hour fitness center, two meeting rooms and a signature all-day dining restaurant and bar.

Launched in 2008, Element is set to more than double its global portfolio within the next two years and reach more than 30 hotels by the end of 2017. The brand will soon debut Element London Tobacco Dock as part of an Aloft and Element dual-hotel development and Element Suzhou Science and Technology Town, marking the brand’s debut in Asia Pacific.
