Passengers who fly on Air China flights departing from Europe and the Americas to Chinese cities with a transit in Beijing (PEK) can benefit from the airline’s new Fully Entrusted-No Baggage Claim service.
The new service allows passengers to fully entrust their checked baggage to Air China in the form of pre-authorization at the airport of origin, and Air China can open checked baggage in transit via Beijing for inspections by the customs authorities. Passengers who use the service are required at check-in to sign the baggage tags to confirm their agreement to entrust their baggage to Air China.
This allows passengers arriving at Beijing Capital International to clear immigration without having to claim checked baggage. They can proceed directly to their transit zone for connecting flights. The service will enhance customer travel experience by cutting out extra time usually needed for transit formalities.
To qualify, passengers must fly on Air China-operated flights for the entire journey, instead of codeshare flights, and should not put items into their checked baggage that should be declared for customs and quarantine inspections.

Sep 30, 2026Review: Sushi by Scratch at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley
Husband-and-wife team Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee made their mark by reinventing the term “hidden gem” through their surprising and intentional collection of destination restaurants. While they launched the original Scratch Kitchen in 2013, an expired lease prompted them to relocate to an unassuming strip mall in suburban Encino in 2015 and rename it Scratch Bar & Kitchen. Even at a time when the San Fernando Valley was not known for innovative 5-star dining, the Lees’ concepts gathered such a strong buzz that discerning diners cheerfully followed them “over the hill.”
