Wineland Trio, comprised of Wineland-Thomson Adventures Inc. president Judi Wineland and her daughters Erica Landerson and Nicole Wineland-Thomson Quinones, recently acquired the company. Judi Wineland knows how to see the world: She was the creator of Overseas Adventure Travel in 1978, and went on to found Thomson Safaris, Thomson Family Adventures and Thompson Treks with her husband Rick Thomson.

WorldHotels is slated to introduce a new property in Peru this January: Casa Andina Premium San Isidro is set to open early next year. The Lima-bound property is the brand’s first in Peru. In response to climate change, Germany’s Christian Democrats proposed doubling taxes on domestic flights to reduce CO2 emissions. The plan would exempt connecting flights (part of long-haul trips) so the impact would only be on the current tax of $8.10 per ticket for domestic flights.
