Abercrombie & Kent adds 10 new itineraries to its Marco Polo collection. The 2017 itineraries offer exotic and unique experiences found nowhere else. Each itinerary is limited to 18 travelers. “This is the largest portfolio of Marco Polo Journeys we have ever offered — 22 in all — featuring luxurious accommodations, remote destinations and insight into cultures unknown to most. Whether it’s getting your boots dirty in Ethiopia or dressing for dinner in one of Britain’s elegant country homes, these journeys deliver the luxury of access,” said Phil Otterson, president, Abercrombie & Kent. The new lineup includes three palace and estate itineraries, one each in South Africa, the United Kingdom and India. South African experiences include visits to game reserves, winery estates and more, with two departures in March and September. In Britain, guests tour Alnwick Castle, Chatsworth House, Badminton House and Floors Castle with two departures in September. During a one-time journey to India in October, guests can celebrate Diwali and visit Victoria Terminus, Taj Lake Palace and other sites. One festival itinerary takes travelers to Papua New Guinea for the Mount Hagen Cultural Show for two weeks in August. A new wilderness adventure itinerary heads to three national parks in India, to view Asiatic lions, Bengal tigers, exotic birds and more with stays in Mumbai and Delhi. A river and rail itinerary features luxury experiences in Paris, Champagne and Alsace. The remaining itineraries focus on cultural experiences, with visits to Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Ethiopia and the Andes region of South America. The latest Abercrombie & Kent Marco Polo itineraries begin at $6,995 per traveler, with departures as early as January 2017.
