This February, Istanbul’s charming Old Town district welcomed Sanasaryan Han, a brand-new luxury hotel occupying a 19^th-century, Neoclassical building. Just steps from landmarks like the Spice and Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, the property underwent meticulous restoration, honoring its heritage with a curated collection of artifacts and antiques waiting to be found.

Part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection Hotel group, the hotel includes 51 guestrooms and 12 suites with views of the city framed by grand Ottoman arched windows. Each guestroom and suite is artfully designed with black and cream colors complemented by accents of marble and turquoise furnishings. Handcrafted copper accessories pay homage to traditional Turkish customs. Guests will find spacious bathrooms inspired by ancient Turkish hammams.

Accommodations also come with a Turkish tea set curated by the hotel’s tea master, inviting guests to enjoy aromatic tea in traditional glass cups.

Sanasaryan Han boasts a distinctive restaurant and bar showcasing the style and presentation of the city’s cuisine. Sini is a fine-dining space celebrating traditional dishes like Lakerda, Simit bagel and a signature fish dish infused with Mediterranean herbs. The Library Bar hosts weekly thespian events like live performances, book presentations, music and theater. Guests can enjoy both performances and events alongside craft cocktails and tea tastings.
