The Anne Frank House should be familiar to most people. The house is located in the North Holland province and is the home where Anne Frank and her family hid from Nazis during World War II. The museum is open most of the hours during the day, 9 a.m. –10 p.m., April 1–Nov. 1. Certain dates and times may impact the museum’s opening hours.
The Van Gogh Museum is the world’s largest collection of works by Vincent Van Gogh. The museum is dedicated to Van Gogh and his contemporaries from Amsterdam. Tickets for the museum are only available online and the museum is open 9 a.m.–7 p.m., daily. On Fridays and Saturdays, the museum is open until 9 p.m. This is perfect for art fans to squeeze in between meetings.
Dam Square is one of the most important locations in Amsterdam. It is surrounded on all sides by prominent and important buildings and landmarks, including the Royal Palace.
Speaking of the Royal Palace of Amsterdam, the Royal Palace is a must-see for visitors to the city. The palace is open to visitors as long as it is not in use by the royal family. It’s the only palace in the Netherlands still officially used and open for the public to visit. The palace has been one of the official residencies of the Dutch monarchy for more than 200 years.
The Heineken Experience is an interactive tour through the beer brand’s former brewery. Beer fans from all over the world can go on this tour, which finishes in a taproom.
