A major incentives showcase for the Chinese business market will be held in Australia for the first time this year, Tourism Australia announced last week.
In previous years, the Business Events Australia Greater China Showcase has been held in different regions of China. The conference allows businesspeople from China the ability to experience Australia’s meetings and incentives capabilities.
“We know there’s nothing like experiencing Australia first-hand, and in 2018 we’re providing a unique opportunity to Australian industry by bringing Chinese incentive planners, corporate decision makers and media here to discover our country’s exceptional business events offering for themselves,” said John O’Sullivan, managing director, Tourism Australia.
The event allows for Australian industry to meet and network with incentive planners from China. The event, in Melbourne, is expected to host more than 60 buyers from China.
“Melbourne is the ideal backdrop for the Australian business events industry to strengthen relationships with key Chinese buyers, while enabling MCB to showcase our state’s outstanding business events and incentive attributes,” said Karen Bolinger, CEO, Melbourne Convention Bureau.
The event is scheduled Nov. 26–27.
