China Eastern Airlines launched the world’s first in-flight shopping experience, Air to Home.
The Inflight Shopping Festival lets passengers browse gifts while travelling from a menu of quality items, then delivers them to the address of the passenger’s choice.
The Air to Home event features bespoke products including popular skincare brands, Whoo and Wet’n’Wild, as well as independent designer brands like De Yeen Jewels.
The service demonstrates China Eastern’s commitment to internet-fueled offerings. As global in-flight internet services develop around the world, Asia is slightly behind Europe and the United States, but China Eastern’s newest offering is a good sign of what’s to come.
The airline boasts the largest, most mature fleet in China, with 73 WiFi-equipped aircraft.
