InterContinental Hotels Group announced it will bring its iconic Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand to Asia.
The first Kimpton properties in the region will be located in Southeast Asia and Greater China.
Elie Maalouf, CEO, InterContinental Hotels Group, The Americas, said, “Our Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand is iconic for its unconventional approach to boutique hospitality and we’re thrilled to introduce it to Asia in highly sought-after destinations in Indonesia and China. These new signings continue to deliver on our objective of bringing Kimpton to new places around the world powered by IHG’s global scale and network of owner relationships.”
The Kimpton brand is renowned for its innovative design and personal approach to guest service, incorporating unique perks and thoughtful amenities. Its understated approach to luxury includes touches like in-room yoga mats, a hosted evening social hour and complimentary bike rentals.
The 150-room, 120-villa Kimpton Shanghai Jing’an and the luxurious 251-room Kimpton Resort Sanya Haitang Bay are scheduled to open in 2021.
