It’s been a busy summer for British Airways.

The airline announced it will add two trans-Atlantic services to its summer 2018 schedule at Gatwick (LGW): three flights per week to Toronto (YYZ) beginning May 1, and to Las Vegas (LAS) beginning March 27. The new Las Vegas route was added in response to high demand from Heathrow (LHR).

Sean Doyle, director of networks and alliances, British Airways, said, “Gatwick has always offered a great range of long-haul destinations, but adding Toronto and Las Vegas to the summer schedule will take the number of transatlantic routes to 21, making Canada, the United States and the Caribbean more accessible than ever before.”

The new flight to Toronto will be the airline’s first flight to Canada from Gatwick and follows the recent introduction of new long-haul routes to Oakland (OAK) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL).

The airline also announced routes from London City Airport (LCY) to three European capitals, set to launch in October: Paris (CDG), Prague (PRG) and Reykjavik (KEF).

Reykjavik will be a winter-only service, replacing flights to Granada, Spain (GRX), which will continue as a summer-only service resuming next year.
