Travelers can now explore the best of Cuba through premier people-to-people experiences from Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic. The first departure sets sail Dec. 7, with 16 other departures scheduled for early 2017. The 10-night, 44-guest experience will begin with a three-night stay at Hotel Nacional in Havana. During the stay, guests will have a wide array of excursions to choose from, catering to a variety of interests, from art and music to cigars and classic cars. The following seven-night voyage will explore the southern coast of Cuba aboard Panorama II. Highlights of the voyage include encounters with Cuban marine conversation efforts. Overall, the trip aims to reveal Cuba’s rich history within Havana, Trinidad and Cienfuegos; draw attention to endangered and threatened species in the region; allow guests the opportunity to discuss Cuba’s political past with those who lived it; and enjoy traditional Cuban music, art and gastronomy. Rates for the voyage begin at $9,550 per person in a double occupancy, category 1 cabin.
