Lufthansa began non-stop service between Frankfurt (FRA) and Panama City (PTY), operating flights five-times weekly year-round and serviced by an Airbus A340-300. The aircraft offers three classes — 18 business-class seats, 19 premium-economy seats and 261 economy-class seats — and FlyNet broadband Internet.
“It’s an exciting time at Lufthansa as Panama is one of several new leisure destinations that we are adding to our growing network,” said Juergen Siebenrock, vice president, the Americas, Lufthansa. “Passengers traveling from this new gateway will now be able to experience the quality service and premium products that Lufthansa has always been known to offer, including our brand new Premium Economy Class that offers extra space for comfort and relaxation, as well as an elevated experience.”
Lufthansa’s new business-class cabin offers a unique V-shaped seating arrangement, offering greater privacy and more space, as well as a full-flat seat and ergonomically improved cushioning. The premium-economy cabin boasts greater comfort, 50 percent more room, 38-inch seat pitch, adjustable head and foot rests and individual armrests.
As a member of Star Alliance, Lufthansa travelers can fly with Copa Airlines from Panama City to 73 further destinations in Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and Costa Rica.
A round-trip flight between Panama City and Frankfurt is available for approximately $990. Flights depart every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, departing Frankfurt at 10:15 a.m.
