Austin Adventures, a leading, luxury multi-sport and active vacation company, launched a new trip visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and the waterfalls of Havasu.
“We have taken our already popular Havasu Basecamp Adventure and enhanced it with more quality time in the Grand Canyon,” explains Dan Austin, founder and president, Austin Adventure. “And the kicker is that two of our most beloved senior guides will be leading this very special departure.”
The five-day/four-night tour will be led by Outside Magazine’s top family guide, Kasey Austin, along with Matty Kirkland who has been with the company since it started.
“We wanted to create a special Grand Canyon departure in tribute to the centennial of the founding of America’s National Park System,” explains Austin. “Families with kids 10 and older will find this appealing as the March date dovetails nicely with many school spring break schedules.”
The trip runs March 19–23, beginning and ending in Scottsdale, Ariz. The trip involves a 10-mile hike into Havasu Canyon, a plush set up at the Havasu basecamp, day hikes, swimming in turquoise waters and more. The per person, double occupancy rate of $1,998 includes lodging, all meals, trail-side snacks, guide services, vehicle support and all transportation.
