Hilton Worldwide expanded its portfolio to the country of Chad, marking its brand in 100 different countries and territories around the globe. Other milestones the popular brand reached in 2015 include a record-breaking number of rooms signed for development, at more than 100,000. In addition, 14,500 rooms were converted from competitor or independent properties to Hilton properties. During 2015, Hilton also created approximately 20,000 new jobs in the hospitality industry and hosted more than 140 million guests at properties worldwide.
