Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants debuted two new luxury boutique properties in San Francisco and Vermont with the addition of The Buchanan Hotel in San Francisco and The Taconic Hotel in Manchester. The new hotels mark the group’s 67^th and 68^th properties in the United States, with recent openings in Savannah, Sedona, Palm Beach and Huntington Beach over the past year.

Located in the Pacific Heights neighborhood and historic Japantown, The Buchanan offers artful elements of Japanese culture as a nod to the cultural heritage of the property as well as a residential experience with a private courtyard, a Whiskey Lounge-inspired lobby and large rooms. At The Buchanan, the long-time favorite Kimpton robe is a lightweight Shibori-print kimono and the Kimpton-classic Hosted Wine Hour incorporates sake tastings.

Located in the heart of Bennington County in the shadows of the Taconic Mountains, the 87-room Taconic Hotel is set to open this fall. The property will offer guestrooms with a variety of expansive views of the Taconic and Green mountain ranges as well as three stand-alone cottages. Facilities will include a 110-seat tavern offering regional American fare reflecting Vermont’s cultural traditions, large wrap-around porches and ample meeting and event space, including a 2,600-square-foot ballroom and an elegant outdoor venue.
