Xiamen becomes the latest Chinese city to offer 72-hour visa-free travel to international tourists. Passengers transiting through Gaoqui International Airport in Xiamen, located in the southeast province of Fujian, can now stay in the city for three days without having to obtain a visa prior to travel. Tourists must have an onward ticket for a flight to a third destination departing within 72 hours of their arrival. The visa-free stays are available to citizens of 51 countries and territories, including the United States and Canada. Xiamen joins several other Chinese cities already offering the service, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi’an, Kunming, Dalian and Shenyang.
