Starwood Hotels & Resorts is growing its Aloft and Element brands in the United Kingdom with the signing of a dual-hotel development in London. Slated to welcome guests in early 2017, Aloft London Tobacco Dock will become the second Aloft hotel in London and the third in the United Kingdom, while Element London Tobacco Dock will mark the debut of Starwood’s eco-wise Element brand in the country. The connected hotels will be located in the Tobacco Dock business and residential area of London’s Docklands neighborhood, conveniently situated within easy reach of Canary Wharf and the city’s most popular attractions, such as Tower Bridge and The Tower of London. Aloft London Tobacco Dock will offer 251 guestrooms, featuring signature loft-like ceilings and oversized windows, as well as a bar, a fitness center and four meeting rooms. Element London Tobacco Dock will include 77 light-filled studios and one- and two-bedroom suites with flat-screen TVs and large desks with open shelving. Starwood’s U.K. portfolio is currently comprised of 10 hotels, including eight in London.
