With a strong focus on sustainable tourism, the team at The Zuvy Effect specializes in bespoke travel experiences throughout Latin America. Founders Sonsoles and Jaime Navarro work with more than 40 local outfitters and suppliers to design trips that meld culture, history, cuisine and adventure, tailored to the desires of individual clients — all while supporting the efforts of locally owned and operated tourism-based businesses.
Among a host of experiential adventure journeys (with English or Spanish-speaking guides) are the Panama Canal Rainforest Boat Adventure with Ancon Expeditions of Panama, a five-hour trip by small boat to view birds and wildlife; day-long sea kayak trips with Patagonia Explorers in Peninsula Valdés to observe whales and other marine wildlife; two-day cultural hikes through the Atacama Desert in Chile with Místico Outdoors; four-hour hikes through volcanic craters in La Araucanía, Pucón with Elementos Chile; and Aerial Tram and Canopy Tours through Costa Rica’s rainforest with Rainforest Adventures.
