Travelers flying from Frankfurt (FRA) to destinations not requiring heavy jackets and coats can now store them at the airport. One of the improvements included in the Great to have you here! service program Frankfurt Airport created, the luggage storage offer allows all passengers departing Dec. 20–Jan. 13, 2013, to store their coats for 50 euro cents a day. The airport features three luggage storage counters.
Last month, the airport installed easyPass, an automated border check featuring a hologram of a federal policewoman who explains how to use the function. The new feature allows travelers to quickly pass through Immigration by placing their passports face down on a scanner that reads your data and compares your biometric photogram and size with images captured by a camera. If data matches, travelers can pass through the turnstile. Passengers using this feature must have a new EU passport with integrated chip (ePass). Travelers can also still opt to show their passports to a police officer.
