Last December, Radisson RED Galway opened its doors, making it the first Radisson RED brand in Ireland. Located in Crown Square, an impressive new neighborhood between Moniva Road and Joyce’s Road, and just 10 minutes to Galway city center, the upscale Radisson RED Galway incorporates excellent culinary venues, along with art, music and design to create a very comfortable stay, a great fit for this Irish city where music, arts, food and sports are such important cultural traits.

Developed by Rhatigan Group, who previously developedRadisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin, and Dublin Royal Convention Centre, Radisson RED Galway was designed by the renowned Ireland-based architect Henry J Lyons.
Radisson RED Galway offers an inviting atmosphere, blending upscale design with a fun, relaxed vibe. The open-plan layout creates a seamless flow between spaces, with thoughtfully designed shared areas that foster connection and interaction. Central to the space is an interactive bar, complemented by a cozy lounge. Interior colors feature dark walnut tones, vibrant reds and elegant brass highlights, while antique mirror accents and a brass rod staircase add an extra layer of character and charm. Outside, the property offers a south-facing terrace, usually (but not always) an ideal spot for basking in the Galway sunshine.

The 177 guestrooms and suites reflect the hotel’s signature traits, where bold design meets functionality. Each room has a playful yet sophisticated approach, featuring chic furnishings and striking artwork. Rooms are designed for both relaxation and productivity, with large windows allowing natural light to fill the space. WiFi is also available throughout the property.
“We are proud to have brought this new, high-quality destination hotel to Galway,” said Padraic Rhatigan, principle, Rhatigan Group. “Radisson RED is a great fit for our city, with leisure and business travelers enjoying the design and sophisticated offerings in the hotel and the city.”

Radisson RED Galway introduces a series of advanced features catering to the tech-savvy traveler, with guests enjoying seamless check-in and check-out through kiosks, allowing for a smooth arrival and an easy departure. In addition, wireless charging points are strategically placed throughout the hotel, and all guestrooms are equipped with the latest technology.
The Claddagh Bar & Grill is Radisson RED Galway’s modern, ground-floor restaurant, which offers a stylish dining experience with a focus on Irish ingredients. Subtle symbols of Irish heritage, like Claddagh symbols and wooden accents, connect the design to Galway’s vibrant culture. Meals are served every day from noon to 9 p.m. Reservations are required.

Lena’s Rooftop Bar & Restaurant is located on the hotel’s top floor and seats 140 guests, complete with panoramic views of Galway Bay and the city. Open for lunch and dinner, Lena’s serves signature cocktails, including Lena’s Rose, and a traditional Irish menu with a modern twist, with the chefs sourcing the best possible local produce.
For business guests, Radisson RED Galway features nine diverse meeting rooms spread across two floors, with more than 4,000 square feet of meeting and event space. With a contemporary design and state-of-the-art technology, the property provides the perfect setting for a wide range of events, from corporate meetings to workshops to social gatherings. A private meeting room provides a focused environment for small reunions, while the adjacent Writers Room is a semi-private networking space designed to encourage social interactions, an ideal space for informal meetings where guests can relax over coffee or light refreshments.
Radisson RED Galway is located close to the M6 motorway that connects Galway with Dublin in just two hours, and the M18 motorway south to Limerick.
