Savannah, Georgia, is known for its stunning parks, antebellum architecture, cobblestone squares, historic landmarks, spooky buildings and coastal location. Travelers from all over flock to the destination for beauty and fun.

GETTING THERE & AROUND

The closest airport to Savannah is Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, about 10 miles from the Historic District. Eleven airlines offer indirect and direct flights in and out of the destination. Transit into the city via taxi, Uber, Lyft, car rental or private limousine. Getting around Savannah is easy, with many walkable destinations, but give your feet a break and take advantage of the bicycle-friendly city and bike to all the hot spots. If biking isn’t your thing, catch a ride on DOT, the fare-free service that helps visitors and locals get around downtown Savannah.

The Marshall House
Looking to stay in a haunted hotel? The Marshall House has you covered. Built in 1851, Union troops occupied the hotel at the end of the Civil War, and it served as a hospital during two yellow fever epidemics. Keep your eyes peeled for spirits haunting the halls.

ATTRACTIONS
Forsyth Park
Covering more than 30 acres in the Historic District, Forsyth Park is a must-visit while in Savannah. The park proves perfect for a walk while enjoying the nice weather, but make sure the fountain, a staple of Savannah, is on your route.

River Street

Explore one of the most popular streets in Savannah. Take the historic walk down the 33 cobblestone steps leading to a street filled with shops, restaurants, rooftop bars, monuments and more.
