For the first time, Celebrity Cruises unveiled details about its new ship, Celebrity Ascent, set to launch this November and marking the fourth in the cruise line’s Edge Series. The ship will set sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale December 2023 to April 2024 to the Caribbean before heading to Europe for Mediterranean cruises.

“I am so excited to introduce the world to Celebrity Ascent and continue the legacy of Celebrity’s Edge Series,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president, Celebrity Cruises. “First launched in 2018, the Edge Series transformed what cruising could be and its ships like Edge, Apex and Beyond quickly became consumer favorites. Continuously striving to offer travelers a better way to enjoy travel and reach the world around them, we are so proud of what we have built and look forward to welcoming both seasoned and new cruisers alike.”
Many Edge Series favorites return, such as The Theatre, The Rooftop Garden, The Spa, Resort Deck, The Sunset Bar designed by Nate Berkus, The Magic Carpet, three-story Eden Bar and Restaurant, The Grand Plaza and Martini Bar, and its modernized accommodation options.

But there’s also new features to look forward to, including Daniel Boulud’s second restaurant at sea, the redesigned Le Voyage; a plant-based tasting menu at Eden; the never-before-seen Le Petit Chef dinner; Craft Social’s bourbon offerings and tastings; more martinis at Martini Bar; a reinvigorated experience in the main dining area; and an outdoor terrace at Blu. When it comes to entertainment, art and retail, Ascent cruisers can enjoy nightly entertainment; new production shows; a redesigned casino with new games; a refreshed art gallery space; and The Sunset Collection by Nate Berkus, with travel and home accessories, available exclusively onboard.
