Uber app users can now book an Uber Boat in Mykonos this summer to enjoy even more of the Greek island’s beauty. Uber announced the new addition allows up to eight guests to cruise to popular destinations and sites around Mykonos.
While Uber has offered boating options in different cities and countries, this new service marks the first time Uber owns a boating service. Before, outside companies offered the services. For instance, Uber partnered with Thames Clippers, a London ferry service, to offer Uber boat to commuters in London, a service still going on today and popular with tourists.
Boats will stop at designated points, with prices determined by the number of stops per journey. To book an Uber Boat on Mykonos, passengers book it similarly to how they’d book an Uber car. The service is slated to start this summer, with potential plans to expand the service to other Greek islands in the near future.
