At the namesake luxury, 5-star all-inclusive resort in Saint Lucia, the concept of “stolen time” used to be reserved for couples escaping to canoodle, reconnect and perhaps rekindle in sumptuous accommodations during a romantic getaway on the lush Caribbean island. But when StolenTime by Rendezvous rebranded in late 2022 to welcome all adult guests and focus more on wellness, the philosophy expanded to encompass self-reflection, personal growth and enrichment. After all, time is our most precious commodity, one that’s finite and too quickly slips through our grasp; we need to find those moments that matter and make them count.

That includes our fleeting time with loved ones. To that end, last year the 100-room resort on Malabar Beach launched Reflection & Renewal Retreats. Offered in partnership with trauma specialist Annalie Howling, events during the weekend are designed for those suffering from grief, trauma or hardship. Individuals, couples, families and friends who attend can learn coping mechanisms to process their grief, while connecting and empathizing with others undergoing similar situations, through curated programming. The package also provides access to book private Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing virtual sessions with Howling at exclusive rates, a psychotherapy technique often used to treat trauma and PTSD.

In addition to helping guests deal with grief and trauma, StolenTime recently launched eight themed wellness months for 2025, with activities and events to inspire picking up (or rediscovering) a new hobby or pastime that’ll deliver a boost of accomplishment and self-esteem. Summer Serve taps into the increased popularity of racquet sports, with tennis masterclasses, pickleball pro clinics, badminton smash sessions and racquet camps, culminating in the Rally Cup Tournament Series. Reflexology sessions and stretching classes keep athletes limber, and Tennis Socials allow for mixing and mingling.
Running through late summer into early fall, Summer Solos connects solo travelers with one another and themselves through excursions and adventure programming, creative workshops, cooking classes and themed dining. Discounts on relevant spa treatments such as massages, self-care and guided meditations further allow for inner reflection. Other feature months happening throughout 2025 focus on yoga, fitness swimming and maintaining mental well-being during the hectic holiday season with classes in health, nutrition and stress management. If you’re looking for a more traditional wellness experience, the very first step into StolenTime’s The Spa in the Water Garden, overlooking a secluded pool and surrounded by verdant tropical foliage, evokes peaceful serenity. This spa offers treatments inspired by various cultures and countries and operates one of only two Ayurvedic centers on the island. Staff trains at sister property BodyHoliday, often cited as the Caribbean’s best spa. Designed by a top London aesthetician, the new 75-minute Living West Indies Signature Facial can be tailored according to skin type and focus.

Other standout treatments include Boreh Boreh, which uses a blend of turmeric, ginger, black pepper, clove and rice powder to detoxify and infuse dry skin, followed by an application of a conditioning body lotion. During the Exotic Coconut Milk Wrap, the skin is brushed with coconut milk before the body is cocooned and the guest receives a mini facial. Udwarthan uses organic herbs for massaging, exfoliating and detoxifying the body, which is then covered in a nourishing wrap.
For the ultimate in indulgence and self-care, Water Garden Escape includes five treatments over five days: a ginger and lime body scrub, head-to-toe massage, muscle-ease body wrap, hand and foot massage, and Elemis skin-specific facial. Before your arrival, the concierge and spa team can also create a customized wellness plan for your stay.
Accommodations include those overlooking the gardens, where you can gaze at flora and fauna and hear birdsong mixed with the sounds of tree frogs and cicadas. Or you can stay in a beachfront room, located literally on the beach. (Those on the first floor offer a toes-in-the-sand experience.) All accommodations are spacious and airy, melding stately colonial elements with laid-back
Caribbean accents. Signature beachfront cottages have bamboo floors, cathedral ceilings and ornate fretwork on the balustrade of
the private terrace; a nautical color scheme reminds you you’re just steps from one of the most gorgeous beaches on Saint Lucia.
In between wellness activities and luxuriating at the spa, guests can enrich themselves through diversions like an introductory scuba class or wakeboarding; learn the principles of Krav Maga, a self-defense-focused martial art developed in Israel; or climb iconic Gros Piton mountain. Guests can even engage in what the resort refers to as “professional idling”: reading a title by the pool procured via the on-site book exchange, watching a movie on the beach under the stars or focusing on breathing on the lawn. Perhaps it’s during what the property calls little “Stolen Moments” that time truly has the chance to slow down.
