Blacklane is starting its novel chauffeur hailing in 21 cities across 11 countries this month; New York City, the first to launch, began March 1. Blacklane currently offers scheduled rides in 50 countries, and this new service offers on-demand rides with the same quality, health and safety standards, fixed competitive fares and sustainability as its pre-booked trips.
Service in London and Dubai began March 2, with Berlin launching March 3 and Paris on March 4. Eight other U.S. cities — Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. — are set to launch next week, with all 21 cities active by March 26. The remaining destinations include Vienna, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Dublin, Milan, Lisbon, Singapore and Zürich.
“People need trusted local transportation now more than ever as cities reopen,” said Dr. Jens Wohitorf, CEO and co-founder, Blacklane. “Many companies have built ride-hailing platforms with little quality control and confusing costs. But Blacklane has built a global chauffeur-hailing service with clear, consistent rates and the highest quality standards.”
