Hyatt plans to significantly grow its Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand across the Americas, with openings and brand transitions planned across the region. Currently, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand includes 20 properties worldwide.

New openings this year include Carmel Valley Ranch, a 500-acre, all-suite resort in the Santa Lucia Mountains on the Monterey Peninsula in California, opened in January. The property offers an array of interactive experiences, from cheesemaking workshops to falconry, wine and cheese tastings to hatchet throwing. Other 2020 openings include Mar Monte Hotel, located near Santa Barbara. The property was originally the Hyatt Centric Santa Barbara and recently underwent extensive renovations to create a Spanish-influenced, 200-guestroom property.

Upcoming openings include properties in Kansas City, Missouri, and Hollywood, California. Most recently, Hyatt announced plans for an Unbound Collection property in Panama City, Panama, expected to open in 2021 with 88 guestrooms as Hotel La Compañia.
