The holiday season is a harbinger of new menu items on airlines all over the world. Delta Air Lines introduces new items to change the game this winter.
The new menu will feature locally sourced food in Delta’s first-class cabins on Los Angeles (LAX)–Mexico City (MEX) routes. Other routes connecting to Mexico City, including Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis–St. Paul (MSP), New York (JFK) and Salt Lake City (SLC), also have new menu items for the season.
Morning flights include classic meals like smoked salmon with caper and French onion quiche. Afternoon flights feature dishes including Harissa shrimp, beef short rib and more.
Passengers eligible for these meals receive an email in advance of the flight, where they can pre-choose their meal. Delta’s partnership with Aeromexico allows the airline to operate about 1,100 weekly flights between the countries.
