The Club expanded its Pittsburgh International Airport lounge.
“From 2017–2018, the original lounge space experienced a 50 percent increase in guests. Each month we welcomed over 7,000 guests, a number that exceeded our expectations,” said Nancy Knipp, senior vice president, Airport Lounge Development, which runs independent, shared-use lounges accessible by Priority Pass members and others.
The recently reopened lounge sports more than 100 seats and expanded floor space for ALD’s signature “zones,” focusing on relaxation and productivity. The latter includes community work space, ergonomic task chairs and ample power and USB ports. The lounge also has a privacy zone and cellphone-free area.
Loungers have all-inclusive access to hot and cold buffet from local chef Kate Romane, and a “Replenish Zone” with premium beer, wine and spirits for mixing specialty cocktails.
“As we continue to see the demand for The Club lounge experience rise, we are excited to provide a larger, more enhanced location for Pittsburgh International Airport visitors looking to work or relax,” said Knipp.
ALD recently opened other Club lounges at Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport and Jacksonville International Airport. The company has more planned for Charleston International Airport, Buffalo Niagara International Airport, Miami International Airport, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and a second location at Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport.
