Emirates will replace its Boeing 777-300ER operations on its routes to Beijing (PEK) and Shanghai (PVG) with an entire fleet of Airbus A380s.
The fleet change, effective July 1, will strengthen Emirates’ A380 offerings in northern Asia, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou (CAN), Hong Kong (HKG), Taipei (TPE), Seoul (INC) and Tokyo (NRT).
On Chinese routes, the Emirates A380 offers up to 519 seats in a three-class configuration, in addition to a first- and business-class onboard lounge on the upper deck and onboard shower spas in first class.
Shanghai was Emirates’ first Chinese destination with passenger services beginning in 2004, followed by Beijing in 2006.
