Xiamen Airlines took delivery of its new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft earlier this month. The carrier will initially operate the new aircraft on service to Taipei (TPE) from Fuzhou (FOC), the capital of southeastern China’s Fujian province, before deploying the 787-8 on its first cross-continental flight from its home base to Amsterdam (AMS). The aircraft, the fifth of six 787-8s the airline ordered from Boeing, serves Taipei through July 25 before flying to Amsterdam from July 26. Xiamen’s Dreamliner features 237 seats in a three-class layout, including four cocoon-shaped seats in first class and 18 full-flat seats in business class.

Earlier this year, COOKFOX Architects announced the opening of Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music at Long Branch, New Jersey’s, Monmouth University. This new cultural landmark is dedicated to telling the story of music in this country while celebrating Bruce Springsteen’s work within that tradition.
