Wyld Sauna, the United Kingdom’s first public floating sauna, opened last November to local residents and international travelers at Liverpool’s Princes Dock. This newest relaxation and rejuvenation venue in Liverpool merges the tranquility of Scandinavian sauna culture with Liverpool’s dynamic urban landscape.
Wyld built an authentic sauna experience by creating a communal, land-based environment that also offers direct water access for an invigorating post-sauna dip. Wyld Sauna Liverpool can host up to 30 people at a time in a Finnish-style coal sauna. The site features four ice baths, as well as cold waterfall showers alongside heated outdoor showers equipped with salt scrubs for a full sensory experience.

Amenities are perfect for solo or shared experiences with friends and family. Changing amenities include lockers, mirrors, swimsuit dryers and Dyson hair dryers. As the sauna is designed to be a social hot spot for the local area, everyone is welcome, from first-time sauna visitors to seasoned enthusiasts.
Wyld Sauna Liverpool caters to the Liverpudlians by holding sauna sessions to work into their routine — before work, between meetings and after dropping kids off at school, as well as for visitors for before or after touring the city’s many cultural and sporting attractions.
Wyld Sauna Liverpool is situated on Princes Dock as part of the city’s Liverpool Waters initiative, an urban revitalization project along the Liverpool waterfront. With its growing popularity for open-water swimming and an “Excellent” water quality rating from the Environment Agency, Princes Dock provides a safe and pristine environment for jumping into the water off Princes Dock. The dock itself is fitted with four oxygen pumps to maintain water cleanliness, and the area is tested every two weeks by the port’s owners to ensure optimal swimming conditions. The water reaches a depth of approximately 6.5 feet, providing a safe and refreshing plunge. In addition, lifeguards are on site to ensure the safest possible environment.

Liverpool has a vibrancy that has nurtured diverse communities with a creative spark. Embracing the recently rejuvenated area of Princes Dock, the Wyld Sauna team felt it was the perfect place to launch their unique venue. The Wyld team eliminated soaps and products that could pollute the water, instead offering an eco-friendly special Wyld salt scrub that gently cleanses and exfoliates, preserving the surrounding natural environment.
For residents or visitors, Wyld offers discount cards for sauna sessions that can be shared with friends and family, making the experience more accessible and affordable. Sauna reservations can be made here.
In addition to visiting the newest attraction in the city, visitors to Liverpool are also drawn to its long-standing favorites, including The Beatles Story on Royal Albert Dock, the largest Beatles exhibition of its kind, with a self-guided audio tour available in multiple languages. At Liverpool Beatles Museum, visitors can explore more than 300 pieces of genuine Beatles memorabilia.

Liverpool is also home to the largest number of museums and galleries outside of London, including Walker Art Gallery, World Museum, Museum of Liverpool (art and history), Tate Liverpool, Maritime Museum and Port Sunlight Museum.
Football (soccer) is one of the city’s greatest passions, and Liverpool FC opens its Anfield Stadium to visitors during the day when no games are scheduled. Led by enthusiastic guides, the museum and stadium tour give visitors behind-the-scenes access to one of the best-known soccer clubs in the world.

Jan 14, 2026Bab Samhan, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Diriyah Review
Diriyah is engineered as an immersive first “touchpoint” for visitors to Saudi Arabia, putting history and culture front and center. While still a work in progress, it is already a place that reflects the future of destination tourism spelled out in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. With enforced building codes dictated by the original Najdi villages of the region, it also serves as a more relaxed alternative to Riyadh’s futuristic downtown core.
