Vendange Carmel Inn and Suites partnered with 15 local Monterey County, Calif., wineries to create a guest experience honoring the area’s vineyards. Each of the 15 wineries sponsors one room or suite, providing creative touches, like the 100-year-old section of grapevine used in the room sponsored by McIntyre Vineyards. In addition to McIntyre, participating wineries include Blaire Estate, Holman Ranch Vineyards, Dawn’s Dream, Galante, J. Lohr, Joullian, Manzoni, Otter Cove, Pierce Winery, Tudor, Twisted Roots, Ventana and Cima Collina.
Other design highlights include the Twisted Roots king suite, with canvas pictures from the vineyard and artwork made from barrels and bottles. In the Ventana Vineyards room, guests find a wine barrel converted to a snack bar full of logoed snacks and wine. Cima Collina had a vineyard artist create custom paintings for the room. J. Lohr included plush bathrobes in each room. Every winery brought signature luxury experiences to the sponsored guestroom.
Amenities at Vendange Carmel Inn and Suites include daily breakfast and weekend wine tastings. Wines typically available only in partner wineries’ tasting rooms are available for purchase at the property, and on weekends, guests enjoy a fire pit, wine and live music.
