Windstar Cruises offers foodie guests an exciting lineup of culinary cruises for 2022. The small-ship cruise line will host three themed cruises this year with James Beard Foundation-affiliated guest chefs. Windstar is the official cruise line of the James Beard Foundation.

Three females guest chefs lead this year’s themed cruises: Atlanta’s Chef Jennifer Hill Booker, San Francisco’s Chef Tanya Holland and Boston’s Chef Irene Li. The cruises include two on-board cooking demonstrations and four dishes from the guest chef at a hosted dinner complete with wine pairings. Conditions permitting, chefs will lead a market tour during port stops. The chefs will also provide recipes to be featured on Windstar’s menus across its fleet.

In the Wake of the Spanish Armadas (Chef Jennifer Hill Booker)

Chef Jennifer Hill Booker combines her southern heritage and French training to inform her healthy and seasonal cooking style she’s coined as Modern Southern Healthy Cuisine with a French accent. Beyond her role as a chef, Booker is a cookbook author, reality television personality, educator and business owner. With the James Beard Foundation, Booker is an Impact Fellow and sits on the Food Waste Advisory Council. The eight-day trip from Aruba to Panama sets sail Feb. 6.

West Coast Epicurean Extravaganza (Chef Tanya Holland)

Chef Tanya Holland offers diners an inventive take on modern soul food and comfort food. Holland is a cookbook author and appeared as a contestant on Bravo’s Top Chef. Holland contributes to the James Beard Foundation as a writer and chef. The 10-day cruise sails from San Diego to Vancouver starting May 10.

Southern Canadian Explorations (Chef Irene Li)

Chef Irene Li opened her family-run Chinese restaurant Mei Mei in Boston in 2013. Along with her team, Li transformed the restaurant into a packaged dumpling and cooking class company. Beyond Mei Mei, Li works with numerous organizations and causes including sustainability, ethical sourcing and fair and transparent employment practices. Li is a six-time James Beard Foundation Rising Star Chef nominee and a Forbes 30 Under 30 winner. The 11-day sailing travels from Montreal to Boston, starting Oct. 12.
