Perched above the James River in Williamsburg, Virginia, The Estate at Kingsmill opened as part of the Kingsmill Resort. The mansion, originally built for the Busch family, was formerly known as Pettus House. After undergoing a $3 million renovation, including interiors reimagined with textiles, lighting, furnishings and décor from Restoration Hardware, the estate is now ready for guests; the luxurious spaces are perfectly suited to corporate retreats or private luxury rentals.

In the dramatic foyer, a glass teardrop chandelier by artisan Timothy Oulton provides a foil to a stairwell lined with gilded mirrors. Graciously appointed gathering spaces for meetings or relaxation include a fireplace and furnishings like Asher leather chairs evoking 19th-century wingback design.

Four master bedrooms offer river views, hand-knotted rugs by designer Ben Soleimani, RH’s Italian 1,000-thread-count Luxe Sateen linens, custom freestanding soaking tubs, herringbone vanities finished with polished nickel fittings, minimalist floating mirrors and luxurious Turkish cotton towels. Outdoor spaces include a terrace overlooking an infinity pool.

Estate guests enjoy resort amenities, including two 18-hole golf courses, 15 clay and hard-surface tennis courts, an indoor and outdoor pool, seasonal River Pool with embedded lazy river, classes in yoga and Pilates, exclusive access to two luxury SUV vehicles, two customized golf carts, private jet skis, personal shoppers, laundry service, personalized music selections and menus. There’s also access to the spa, where wall coverings embellished with Swarovski crystals provide a sparkling accent to natural river rock elements; and a menu of more than 50 luxury therapies and treatments is available.

Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh Review

Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
