You may already be familiar with the crafty cocktails, well-stocked wine cellar and fabulous menu at Bourbon Steak, located at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C., but if you happen to be a cigar aficionado, there’s a new reason to book dinner: Mason Foster, the new cigar sommelier, certified by the Tobacconist University of Princeton, N.J. The first restaurant in DC to offer an on-staff tobacco professional, Bourbon Steak has a cigar menu and a courtyard where guests can enjoy their selection. Foster recommends these favorites:

• Avo Classic No. 9, a creamy robusto created by Avo Uvezian and Hendrik Kelner, the master blender for Davidoff. It features a light nutty flavor with notes of pistachio. Forty minutes are suggested.
• Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story, with a golden Cameroon wrapper around a Dominican binder: The flavor profile ranges from light, sweet black pepper building to wood flavors, pine and cedar. Foster recommends 30 minutes for full enjoyment.
• My Father Le Bijou 1922 Torpedo, a Habano Oscuro with bright spices, charred black pepper and sweet, chocolate covered raisins that mellow into flavors of worn leather, salted caramel and white pepper. Plan for an hour and 20 minutes.
