One of IHG’s newest brands, voco, sets its sights on Sydney’s Central Business District, with plans to open voco Sydney Central by 2020. The property will be part of a mixed-use, 17-story tower with a sloping roof and “green waterfalls” of rooftop plants.

More than 300 guestrooms are planned, each with superior bathrooms, user-friendly technology and innovative lighting. Also in the works, a guest gym and design-led restaurant and bar.

The property offers guests easy access to Capitol Theatre, rail transport and Sydney’s new convention center.

The hotel addition continues the growth of IHG properties in Australasia. IHG currently has nearly 50 hotels operating under four brands in the region, with almost another 30 in the pipeline.
