Virgin Australia’s new international, business-class cabin for the Boeing 777-300ER is now available on trans-Pacific flights. The new product, The Business, accommodates 37 individual, private suites, which convert into queen-sized beds. The 1-2-1 configuration allows for direct aisle access for every passenger. Guests will enjoy the largest entertainment screen available on flights between Australia and North America, at 18 inches of high definition. À la carte and express dining options are available from specially designed menus; cocktail and canapé service are available prior to meal service; and business-class bar and lounge service are available directly following meal service. Passengers can also enjoy a full breakfast at the bar. “With competition increasing from Australia to North America and the Middle East, we believe this will be the best business class on the Pacific, with the product also being introduced to Abu Dhabi later this year,” said John Borghetti, CEO, Virgin Australia Group. “We have seen customer satisfaction scores increasing to all-time highs after introducing The Business domestically on transcontinental routes so we are confident that, with our new Boeing 777 business-class cabin and refreshed premium cabin, Virgin Australia will be the number one choice for premium travellers.” Virgin Australia’s premium-economy class is also revamped, and the new “Premium” class offers 24 seats per cabin, more legroom than any other Australian airline, plated meal service on business-class crockery served with business-class wines, cocktails and snack service and amenity packs with blankets, pillows and skincare products.
