United Airlines now offers the only non-stop service by a mainland U.S. carrier to Tahiti. The flight originates in San Francisco (SFO).
“We are thrilled to extend this exciting flight to a year-round schedule,” said Janet Lamkin, president, California, United Airlines. “For Californians and our customers connecting through San Francisco, this route offers an escape to a little corner of paradise.”
Currently the flight is available Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Beginning March 30, 2019, service changes to Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Flights depart the West Coast at 2:45 p.m., arriving in Tahiti at 9:25 p.m. Return flights depart at 11:45 p.m., arriving back in the States at 9:50 a.m. the next day.
A Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft serves the route.
