This spring, United Airlines adds a daily, non-stop flight between Albuquerque International Sunport and Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. Set to begin service May 22, the flight will be operated by an Airbus A319ceo until December, in which the aircraft will switch to a Boeing 737-300.
Flights depart IAD at 9 a.m. and arrive in ABQ at 11:05 a.m. ABQ flights leave at 3 p.m. and land in IAD at 8:45 p.m. The returning route marks ABQ’s 32nd non-stop destination, further connecting the New Mexican capital to other U.S. destinations.
“Direct access to Washington, D.C., means more opportunities for Burqueños—whether it’s advocating for New Mexico, expanding business connections, or simply exploring one of the most historic cities in the country,” said Tim Keller, mayor, Albuquerque. “Bringing this route back is a win for travelers, a boost for our local economy, and a testament to Albuquerque’s growing influence as a key destination.”
The reinstated flight picks up from its last service between the two airports, ended in April 2014.
