Air China and United Airlines signed a multi-year agreement to better serve their customers in both China and the United States.
Under the new agreement, the two airlines will expand connecting flight opportunities, create a smoother passenger experience within gateway airports, boost frequent-flyer benefits and create joint marketing initiatives.
“We are honored by the close partnership United and Air China have shared since 2003 and the positive difference it has made in the travel experience for both carriers and customers,” said Oscar Munoz, president and CEO, United Airlines. “This agreement marks a significant milestone in our long-standing cooperation and further distinguishes United and Air China as the leading carriers between the United States and China.”
Currently, United Airlines flies non-stop to three destinations in mainland China from San Francisco (SFO). This summer, the airline will also launch flights to Xi’an (XIY) and Hangzhou (HGH), May 8 and July 13, respectively.
