Locals and travelers alike flock to the annual TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Florida, and this year’s tournament will be no exception. TPC Sawgrass 2022 will take place March 8–13, offering guests an extensive itinerary to create a full week of sun, golf and fun.
TPC Sawgrass announced some new additions to the tournament. The Local, Silkie’s Chicken & Champagne Bar, Saffronand 904 Burger will debut at the tournament. In addition to new restaurants, TPC Sawgrass officially named Tito’s Handmade Vodka as the official vodka of the PGA Tour and as the sponsor of a new venue near 18 tee called The Oasis. The Oasis will feature Tito’s Stillhouse Lounge, an exclusive lounge with signature cocktails. The official drink of The Players Championship, The Sawgrass Splash, will also be offered throughout the tournament.
On opening weekend, The Players Welcome Experience and the PGA Tour Fan Shop will be open to the public. The shop increased in size to almost 33,000 square feet to welcome guests. Guests can browse the unique merchandise collection and even take a few swings in the 17th Hole Challenge. This challenge allows guests to take two free shots at the Island Green or purchase an additional chance, with all proceeds going to The First Tee – North Florida.
Returning fan favorites and experiences will include the Patriots’ Outpost, an open-air venue next to the 16th tee box for military members, veterans and one dependent to enjoy views of the tournament with complimentary drinks and snacks. The event will also have two autograph zones, at the practice grounds and near the scoring area, for guests to have the chance to meet some of the players.
Bier Garden by Hoptinger, a spot for craft beer and bar bites from Hoptinger, a locally owned bier garden and sausage house, will also return this year. Wines lovers can rejoice at the return of Wine & Dine on 9 presented by Meiomi Wines, located on 8 green, where guests can enjoy a world-class portfolio of California wines with food by Bonefish Grill.
This year, all tickets, both for entry and parking, will be mobile and must be purchased online.
