My husband and I arrived to The Water Club Hotel at the Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey, for our two-night stay and drove directly to valet parking. After the swift drop-off process, we took the escalator to the lobby to check in. With no one ahead of us in line, we were checked in and on our way to our room on the 30th floor in no time.
Our king room featured all the standard guestroom amenities, plus complimentary WiFi, robes, a large couch and a desk. The bathroom boasted a walk-in shower with both standard and rainfall showerheads.
We were visiting Atlantic City to attend the annual food and wine festival, Savor Borgata. The event took place in the adjacent property, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, a brief walk from The Water Club. The properties are connected by an indoor walkway, which made for an incredibly convenient experience accessing the event. Guests of The Water Club can enjoy the amenities of the Borgata including its many dining options, event space, casino and nightlife attractions.
The first morning of our stay, we took advantage of The Water Club’s in-room dining. Celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian crafted the menus. We both ordered eggs accompanied with rosemary home fries, arugula and fennel salad and grilled country bread, plus juice and coffee. Our meal arrived much quicker than the estimated 30 minutes. All parts of the meal were perfectly prepared. It was one of the best room service breakfasts I’ve experienced.
There are seven pools on site, both indoor and outdoor. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to utilize the pools during our stay. However, we did take advantage of the fitness center on the 33rd floor. There were numerous cardio machines, free weights and weight machines. Bottled water and towels were also available. The view is perhaps the best feature, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city and the Atlantic Ocean.
When our stay was over, the check-out process and car retrieval at the valet were smooth. The Water Club is an ideal property for a relaxing stay in Atlantic City.

The city took its name from Athena, goddess of wisdom, strategy and war, and protector of the city. The financial, political and administrative center of the country and an all-powerful city-state in antiquity, Athens is a major center of culture. A visit to the first-ever museum dedicated to Byzantium, a stroll around the National Garden and a trip to the Olympeion archaeological site will take you back through time.
