The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park announced a hotel-wide transformation, including the addition of two presidential suites, a club lounge and a lobby lounge. Other changes include custom-made new furnishings and a refresh of La Prairie Spa.

The upgrades are intended to combine historic elements with modern refinement to create an urban escape in an enviable location.

“Drawing inspiration from our front garden, the reawakening embodies the sights, sounds and palette of Central Park,” said Winfred van Workum, general manager, The Ritz Carlton New York, Central Park. “We look forward to heightening the guest experience with bespoke New York touches and welcoming our esteemed guests to a new era of modern luxury.”

New guestrooms channel the design of a park-facing penthouse, with sophisticated furnishings such as marble coffee tables and lounge settees. Custom carpeting is inlaid with a Matisse sketch and Formasetti wallpaper features a delicate cloud-like design. Further bespoke accents are found within the new presidential suites. Tech additions to guestrooms include smart televisions and built-in outlets in bedside tables.

Throughout the remainder of the hotel, striking photography from local artists adorn the walls.

Further changes are planned for next year, including remodels to the bar and restaurant.
