The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe recently debuted its property-wide transformation. The two-year project included an overhaul of guestrooms and suites, refreshed common spaces, updated dining concepts, and new experiences for guests.
The updated 170 guestrooms and suites reflect the local landscape with earth tones, natural textures and panoramic windows. Offering guests further flexibility, The Ritz-Carlton Residences boasts two-, three- and four-bedroom accommodations with ample common area spaces.

Newly renovated signature restaurant Manzanita draws design inspiration from Lake Tahoe, with rustic décor and a large stone fireplace in the center of the space. The menu showcases California cuisine. Another reimagined dining space, Living Room Lodge boasts plush leather seating facing floor-to-ceiling windows and a sleek U-shaped bar, encouraging guests to gather and relax. The menu will rotate seasonally and also features local wine and beer.
Renovations aim to enhance gathering spaces throughout the property, inviting guests to find new ways to connect. New and updated gathering spaces include a renovated fitness center, new pool cabanas, two new Topgolf Swing Suites and retail venue Alpine Exchange Boutique.

Jun 3, 2025Now’s the Time to See Giza, the Nile and Beyond
All archaeology-obsessed eyes turned hopefully toward Egypt earlier this year when the highly anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum outside Cairo finally began welcoming visitors after construction delays, funding roadblocks and political upheaval in the region (among other factors) conspired to keep things delayed for many long years. The museum’s cherry on the top is slated to open this summer, with the July opening of the museum’s 20-plus-years-in-the-making Tutankhamen galleries and accompanying cache of some 5,000 artifacts and treasures from the boy king’s tomb.

As I write this letter, I am halfway across the Atlantic Ocean on my return from an epic golf trip in Ireland. The weather was magnificent: sunshine and no rain ... quite unusual by Irish standards. May 28, 2025Williamsburg Inn Review
You don’t have to love brass chandeliers or brocade to appreciate what Williamsburg Inn does best: delivering a polished, unpretentious stay amid America’s most iconic living history museum. This is where you check in for traditional luxury without feeling like you’re trapped in a time capsule. The Queen stayed here (twice), and so did Eisenhower, but you’re not here to make history. You’re here to enjoy it, on your own terms.
