Designed by award-winning Post Company, The Longfellow Hotel expects to debut in Portland, Maine, in summer 2023, making it the most recent property to come to the state. Slated to be a five-story, ground-up building in Portland’s historic West End neighborhood, The Longfellow Hotel will offer a residentially inspired concept.

With nods to Portland’s West End, interiors feature paired-back minimalism and traces of rugged elements, all blended with a warm ambiance for relaxation and restoration. Featuring 48 rooms (44 king rooms and four suites), several rooms include French balconies and bay windows. Some of the spaces will also be pet-friendly.
Guests at The Longfellow Hotel can indulge in Nordic-inspired wellness offerings at Asteria, a wellness spa providing selected sauna, massage and meditation experiences. The 1,800-square-foot space includes two massage treatment rooms; two private, infrared sauna experience rooms with halo therapy; and a meditation room with Mind-Sync Harmonic Sleep Loungers.

For food and beverages options, the property boasts Five of Clubs, a European-style lobby bar; and Twinflower Café, a wellness-focused café serving wholesome breakfast and lunch offerings alongside espresso drinks and fresh juices. The opening of The Longfellow Hotel, named after legendary poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, will mark the first independent, full-service hotel to open in Portland in 20 years.
